Up to £8m in estimated cost savings, a 180% increase in direct-hire contingent placements, and a 40% reduction in SoW change requests, all delivered for Haleon in Year 1.
Approximately 70 suppliers consolidated into a single managed supply chain, 150+ workers reclassified into compliant engagement types, and over 100 global audit items supported or remediated.
14,250+ service actions fulfilled, 4,000+ ServiceNow tickets resolved during hyper-care, and a rationalised notification framework that transformed the hiring manager experience globally.
Haleon, a global consumer health leader, set out to transform how it engaged, governed, and optimised its external workforce following a significant organisational realignment.
In late 2024, Haleon partnered with Guidant Global, selecting a hybrid delivery model combining talent access, supply-chain ownership, services procurement, and fully integrated workforce governance.
As the partnership took shape, the need shifted from transactional MSP delivery towards true strategic counsel, and the design of an agile, future-ready workforce model enabling flexible access to scarce talent and project-based outcomes across the extended workforce.
The partnership launched at pace, going live for Haleon globally on 1 January 2025. The remit spanned major geographies and encompassed agency workers, services procurement, and statement-of-work engagements.
The goal: a unified, modern workforce programme aligned to transparency, cost leadership, risk mitigation, and operational excellence.
Haleon needed to address a set of deeply embedded structural challenges. A major focus was establishing global visibility under one global team, with consistent control across its externally sourced workforce. Haleon also needed a scalable, compliant operating model across multiple countries with divergent regulatory environments.
Beyond operational continuity, Haleon increasingly sought flexible ways to access scarce talent and deliver project-based outcomes across its extended workforce spanning contingent labour and Services Procurement / SoW. This required an operating model that could advise, design, and steer the right route-to-talent, not simply process transactions.
The transition from the incumbent MSP added further complexity. The previous operating model relied on more than 150 auto-notification categories, inconsistent change-request pathways, and a fractured user experience across the 14,000+ annual service actions Haleon was absorbing each year. Haleon also faced significant risks from misclassified worker engagements, an over-fragmented supplier base, and a lack of strategic governance.
The upgrade needed to be delivered at speed, across countries, without compromising compliance or business continuity. These were the conditions under which Guidant Global was asked to operate from day one.
The programme now enables faster, higher-quality decisions, reduced complexity, and a scalable framework ready to support future growth.
A 180% uplift in direct talent delivery resulted in faster access to high-quality talent at reduced cost.
Comprehensive governance uplift included reclassification improvements, audit remediation and risk reduction across global teams.
Simplified processes and consolidated supply-chain ownership created greater transparency and decision-making insight.
The programme reinforced Haleon’s priority of operating as one team with unified processes and governance structures.
In 2026, the programme will expand further into Ireland, Slovakia and India, extending the same hybrid MSP, services procurement and SoW governance model into new geographies. With Poland and additional markets in view for 2027, the partnership is structured to scale quickly while protecting compliance, user experience and commercial performance.
